An Exhibition of Photographs from Art Matters Camera Club
This exhibition showcases the work of 19 photographers, featuring black and white as well as coloured photos. Engaging with a mixture of digital, film and phone cameras, each artist presents three photographs, telling a unique story within each image.
Whilst traditional camera club focuses on technical competences and equipment, Art Matters Camera Club emphasises on sharing and celebrating our photographs and ideas. Beyond judgement, these photographs help us to tell our stories.
Camera club first started in February 2022. Angus and Mark ran a course, Introduction to Film Photograph at Art Matters. Attendees borrowed a 35mm film camera and with brief instruction, they photographed 36 pictures on film of anything that interested them. Angus and Mark processed these film together, printed from the negatives which created beautiful photographs.
Slowing down, observing our environment and engaging in a moment, taking a photograph is a mindful experience and we thank you for taking the time to view this exhibition archive. We hope you enjoy looking at our work.
